NARCISSISM

Narcissism is a false self,
but who knows the enigma that hides
behind such a mask?
The narcissist themselves have no clue.
Their shame is buried so deep
it blocks them from authenticity
and so they insist on the false front
and expect everyone else to do the same.
Some of us cannot play this game.
